Well, it was another proud day in the Rose Family....Maddie was inducted into the National Elementary Honor Society! The ceremony was tonight and is was very special. All straight "A" students were invited to apply. They had to fill out an application and list their academic achievements, community involvement, leadership, etc. So, it was an honor that she was picked. Several of her friends also were inducted, so it was a great night! Here are some pics.
On top of that....Reid was nominated a few weeks ago and had to fill out an application listing the same things and they had to be interviewed a few weeks back. Well, he found out today that he was chosen, so he will be inducted into the National Honor Society at his high school. This was his fist year of eligibility for high school, so it was awesome that he got in!
So....we are so proud to have both kids achieve academically!! I know how busy they are with extracurricular activities and how over scheduled they seem, but we put academics first and foremost and our children know that. They do a great job...I am truely blessed!
On another note....I have post this......
I found this print on Etsy and just ordered it as a daily reminder to myself. I LOVE it!!! Just thought it was FUN!!!
Also....I think I found a new project...also found this idea on ETSY...one of my favorite places to shop!
My door is black and this would look great...
One thing to share...I want a mud room so bad, to have a place for the kids and hubbie to drop and grab their things on the go! This is what I would love....just have to figure out how!!
I also wanted to share this idea from Wendy at The Shabby Nest!! It is such a great and useful idea!
She took a closet and created a useful storage space that is neat and organized and SUPER CUTE!!
My Prayers today:
Please pray for my sister, Shelley. She has been diagnosed with a Toxic Nodule on her Thyroid. She is going to a specialist tomorrow to have it looked at more intensely and decide how to treat it. Pray that God will heal her and give her strength!!
My Maddie....that God will give her the confidence and ablility to do her best tomorrow!!!
My hubbie...to keep him safe...for he is away the next 2 days.
Continued prayers for Leigh Cochran to get well and be released from the hospital.
For my friend's son...that God will help him deal with his 9 yr old feelings. It is tough being a kid and expressing your feelings sometimes. I pray that God will show him the way through this.....
HUG your loved ones.......BLESSINGS!!!!
